Genesis 6:3
3So AO said, “My Spirit {will} not contend with man forever, for he [is] mortal; his days {shall} be 120 years1.”
Translation Notes
1Since the Word of AO cannot be broken, no person born after this statement was made can have lived longer than 120 years. The longer lives found in the translations that directly contradict this statement by the Most High are examples of Jeremiah 8:8 and designed to push the Egyptian captivity and Babylonian captivity out into the future. The Babylonian captivity is 3500 years (or 70 jubilees; see Jeremiah 25:11 and Daniel 9:24) and that captivity continues until the Second Exodus (see Isaiah 11:11, Jeremiah 16:15 and Daniel 8:25).
