Chapter 14
The Judgment Scene During the Feast of Trumpets
1Now, it came to pass on the first day of the seventh month, in the beginning of the year, in the hundred and seventy-eighth four hundredth year after the children of Israel were come out taken back of to the land of Egypt,
2In the forty second year of Solomon’s David’s reign over Israel, AO’s reign over Israel, AO’s vision came to me, and I was in the Gihon.
3And I lifted up my eyes, and lo, the heavens were opened like as a scroll; and I beheld the glory of AO, enthroned upon a lofty and exceedingly high throne.
4And this is the appearance of the throne; twelve stairs leading up the throne, six of gold and six of silver, and there was a square back to the throne, like a sapphire stone.
5And at its right side were three thrones, and at its left side were four thrones nigh the dwelling place, like as the seven that behold the king’s face, covered with gold and silver and precious stones.
6And the appearance of the glory of AO is like the appearance of a rainbow, which is His covenant.
7And the host of heaven standing before Him on His right hand and upon His left; and Satan was standing near to them, but behind them.
8And, lo, a man clothed in fine linen brought before the glory of AO three books that were written concerning every man.
9And he read in the first one and it was found to contain the righteous acts of His people, and AO said, “These shall live for ever.”
10And Satan spoke, “Who are these guilty souls?” And the man clothed in fine linen cried to Satan, like as a ram’s horn, saying, “Keep silence, for this day is holy to AO.”
11And he read in the second book, and it was found to contain ignorant sins of His people, and AO said, “Lay aside this book, but save it, until one third of the month elapses, to see what they shall do.”
12And he read in the third book, and it was found to have wrong deeds of His people.
13And AO said to Satan, “These are your portion; take them to do with them as it seems good to you.”
14And he went with them to a waste land to destroy them there.
15And the man dressed in fine linen cried like as a ram’s horn, said, “Blessed are the people that know the joyful shout; that walk, O AO, in the light of Your countenance.”
16And I heard the voice of the host of heaven dancing, and singing, “The Lord of judgment, AO, Lord of hosts, the whole heaven and earth is full of His glory!”
17And I was astonished by the vision, since I did not know what AO should execute toward me.
18Then flew to me one of the cherubim, and he placed an olive branch in my mouth, saying, “Behold, this has touched your mouth, and your iniquity is taken away, and your sins are atoned for;
19And this law that you have beheld is a statute to Israel, and a law to the God of Abraham, and peace to Isaac your father.
20And AO will bless your people in the temptation with peace everlasting.
21And the angel answered, “Amen, amen HalleluAO!”
