Exodus 23:19
19Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of AO your God. You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk1.
Translation Notes
1Either literal, don’t boil a young goat in its mother’s milk (but doesn’t really make sense since the young goat would already be dead; it would not be boiled alive) or figurative, i.e. don’t eat a young goat that is still nursing, so don’t bring anything that young to eat at the feasts of AO.
