Deuteronomy 10:9
9That is why Levi has no portion or inheritance among his brothers1; AO is his inheritance as AO your God promised him2.
Translation Notes
1Ephraim has inheritance though so is this text inserted to smooth over the glaring contradiction that Ephraim and Manasseh have separate tribal lands whereas Levi has none?
2The birthright was taken from Reuben and given to Joseph (see Jasher 36:15 and 1 Chronicles 5:1) but the first born belongs to AO so why would Levi become His inheritance instead of Joseph?
